What is Pressureless Sintered SiC?
Pressureless sintered silicon carbide (SiC) is a high-performance ceramic material manufactured through advanced sintering technology without external pressure. It offers exceptional mechanical strength, thermal stability, and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for demanding industrial applications.
Material characteristics
Ultrafine silicon carbide powder (particle size is usually 0.5-1.0μm) is used as raw material, and certain sintering aids are added, such as B4C-C in solid phase system and Al2O3-Y2O3 in liquid phase system. It is usually necessary to add organic solvents such as binders and dispersants, and form granulated powder through spray drying process. Various molding processes are used, and high-temperature sintering (temperature is usually 2100-2200℃) is carried out under vacuum or argon protection. The sintered density is usually greater than 98% of the theoretical density, the density is generally 3.10-3.18g/cm3, and the grain size is generally not more than 20μm.

High temperature resistance and thermal conductivity Performance
High temperature resistance (usually use temperature exceeds 1500℃) ,High thermal conductivity (room temperature thermal conductivity is usually greater than 120 W/m﹒K) and low thermal expansion coefficient (room temperature CTE is usually less than 2.5ppm/°C)
Chemical stability Performance
Comprehensive chemical corrosion resistance and ion etching resistance (pressureless solid phase system can withstand strong acids or composite acids including hydrofluoric acid and long-term use) Can manufacture large-sized and complex structural parts
